Convective Warning Utilization Study

The students and faculty at the University of North Caroline at Asheville in collaboration with the National Weather Service are conducting a study of the extent to which the general public receives and utilizes severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings. As part of an effort to improve communication of warnings, the study will help to better understand how warnings are received, how the information is interpreted, and how people respond to the warning messages.

Note, the survey is very specific to warnings issued for your area within the last 72 hours.
